Just some pictures from our super-fun night at Mickey’s Halloween Party!!
We had soooo much fun, and we got a whole lot of (good) attention, too! Everywhere we went, we were getting stopped and asked for pictures, I am SO not used to that! We probably would’ve basked in the attention more if we weren’t out to get candy and see characters.
These are out of order, but I’ll try to sum them up.
Our attention-getting started as we walked down Main Street, really. We got stopped for pics about three times just walking to get food. Then when we were taking pics at the castle, we got another dose. Suddenly there were a ton of people crowded around us as we posed for photo pass! Again, totally not used to that, but it was super cool! Any time we’d stop for more than a couple minutes, we’d get people coming up to us, it was wild! And extremely flattering, really. It made me happy every single time, like people affirming “you are doing it right”.
We became BFFs with Maleficent and Cruella. Maleficent really liked holding the book, and of course Winnie assured her she could borrow it anytime she wanted.
When we visited Captain Jack, he also really liked the book. He wanted to make sure that Billy Butcherson had a way to get all his parts back in working order, asking “Is it true that when you’re a zombie, certain things fall off?” After reminding Sarah of their fling, and promising another one (gdi, Sarah, we can’t do any work with your boy problems!), he made us do “i put a spell on you” for the entire queue, I was just glad I remembered the intro! I sincerely apologize to everyone in that queue, innocent people inflicted with my voice!
The storm troopers wanted to know why Billy’s mouth wasn’t stitched up, and Sarah was all about them being soldier boys. Sarah was all about every boy, of course.
The characters losing their minds over us really started in the jamboree, though. The hosts were excited about us, and the characters even more so. Dale saw us and could not handle his life like, at ALL. He melted onto a picnic bench and when I asked him if he was okay, he shook his head vigorously. We got about a billion hugs from Dale that day. Chip, on the other hand, kept bringing people over to gawk at us. I made the mistake of letting him see the book, he almost didn’t wanna give it back!
A fantastic night, all in all! Our only downer was hearing about another hocus pocus group with amazing costumes who got chosen to be in the parade. It was really only a downer because we heard it from a lady in front of us in the villains line, and she kept going on and on about how great and perfect and spot on they were. Luckily it was at the end of the night, so it didn’t marsh the mallow too badly. Just a bit.
However, I think we did a pretty great job, and we had a TON of fun!!! I also got enough candy to feed half of Pittsburg for a year, so there’s that. I love the Halloween party, I love love love seeing everyone in costumes, and it was just a perfect day/night.
